Manav Seva Sansthan (MSS), has been working in remote and backward areas of district Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh since 1991. MSS is directly and indirectly involved with 60 Panchayats in district Bilaspur. The organization emphasize majorly over the women-based issues for an overall development. It also strives to improve socio-economic condition of the rural poor, to bring about social justice through awareness building and to inculcate the spirit of self-reliance and self development among the people. MSS has developed several women groups like Mahila Mandals and SHGs. These groups have strong leadership, regularly conduct their meetings, keep their records, manage the saving and credit and discuss the issues in the meetings.
