Lok Chetna
Manch (LCM) formed at the behest and inspiration of Late
Sarla Behan, a veteran disciple of Mahatma Gandhi. Since its
inception on 14th January 1982, the organization is striving
for betterment of hilly areas with emphasis on self arousal
of people for conservation of resources and promoting allied
grass root activities. |

enhancing the capacity of common man by adopting
participatory approach. |

organization has consistently worked on afforestation and
environmental consciousness, demonstration of better
livelihood options, gender sensitization, imparting basic
education for children of deprived areas, Disaster
Management and propagation of local governance.
Working spectrum ranges from awareness raising, forming Self
Help Groups, promoting diversified and sustainable
agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, organization
health camps, community empowerment to optimum utilization
of local and other available resources. |
